Each 16oz bottle of POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice contains the juice from approximately four Wonderful variety pomegranates.

Because we are particularly careful about product safety, we flash pasteurize our juice before it goes onto the grocery shelf. During flash pasteurization, we heat the juice to a very high temperature for a short period of time and then rapidly cool it prior to bottling. This process ensures that not only will the juice meet our high safety standards, but also that each bottle of POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice retains all polyphenol antioxidants you expect in our products.

POM Wonderful pomegranate juice does not contain any of the substances that the FDA considers a major food allergen. These nine major allergens are sesame, soy, wheat, eggs, milk, tree nuts, peanuts, fish and crustaceans. It also does not contain any added sugars, sucrose or corn syrup, nor any gluten.

POM Arils
If refrigerated, arils will last up to the best-by date stated on the package. For extended storage we recommend that they be frozen. To freeze arils, place them on a cookie sheet, freeze them for two hours, and then place the frozen arils into a tightly sealed plastic bag. They will keep in the freezer for up to two months.

Juice and Teas:
Once a bottle has been opened, it should be kept refrigerated and consumed within two weeks or by the expiration date printed on the bottle, whichever comes first. We recommend that you think of the product as you would any perishable product and review the expiration dates before making a purchase. In addition, POM Wonderful juices and teas should be refrigerated at all times to retain the integrity of the product, its taste and antioxidants.

By using a concentrate, we are able to extend the pomegranate season and deliver POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice to you all year long. When we bottle our juice, we reconstitute the concentrate with the same quantity of water that was removed during the evaporation process. We do not add any preservatives, sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Why is there sediment in my POM Juice?
As is the case with other natural juice products, it is not unusual to find some naturally occurring sediment in the product, which is why we recommend on our packaging that you "shake well". Sedimentation occurs naturally.

Why is there sediment in my POM Tea?
Natural sediment in the bottle is perfectly normal. The sediments found in our iced tea are the same sediments found in red wine—the tannins that fall out of solution over time. You will find them in any products that are high in polyphenols, such as iced tea and red wine. We recommend shaking bottles before opening.

POM Wonderful Juice does not contain any preservatives, added sugar or artificial sweeteners and is in fact 100% juice. The natural flavors in our juices are from botanical sources and equal to no more than 1% to enhance the natural flavor of the juice. We do not disclose the specific botanical ingredients as that is proprietary for competitive reasons.

The sugar listed comes from the naturally occurring pomegranate fruit sugars that give our juice its delicious taste. In fact, POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice is natural and does not contain any preservatives, colors, flavors, added sugar, or artificial sweeteners.
